INTERNATIONAL VALEO COMPETITION - POLISH STUDENTS ARE THE WINNERS!
This year's edition of the international Valeo competition ended with a great success for Polish students. Out of 1627 teams from 80 countries, 24 teams qualified for the second stage and seven to the grand finale, including two teams from Poland.
In the "Technological Innovation" category, the main prize was won by the CLEY team from the University of San Luis Potosi from Mexico, while the Polish team of students named FUTUCITY from the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow took the first place in the category "New ideas for the use of cars". Both teams received the main prize of 100,000 euros each.
Krakow students presented the project of an autonomous vehicle serving as a means of transport, delivery of goods and a sleeping capsule in one. According to the idea of participants from Poland at night, parking spaces could transform into accommodation places, and cars on demand would become a capsule intended for sleep.
It is also worth mentioning the great success of the second Polish students team, which also reached the final: the SPMIP team (Smart People Making It Possible) from the Warsaw University of Technology won the second prize of 10,000 euros in the "Technological innovation" category.
If you want to repeat the success of Polish teams – we are inviting you to take part in the 5th edition of the competition!
